 abstract={This publication is a field of activity in which opening to an interdisciplinary dialogue - centered around the foster family - is to contribute primarily to discovering the space for building interpersonal relations, focused on the most important subject - the child. The book is addressed to a wide audience, including foster families, social work practitioners, representatives of the social welfare system (including foster care organizers), representatives of non-governmental organizations, students of social work, psychology and pedagogy, and all those who care about foster parenthood. The publication is an invitation to look at the current legal regulations that constitute the institution of foster care. It introduces the reader to the theoretical considerations of foster care and then connects them with scientifically grounded and practical observations resulting from the experience of being a foster parent. We hope that this publication will be a contribution to building the subjectivity of families, which will contribute to raising the quality of working conditions of foster carers and changing the social perception of foster parenthood in Poland},
