In the 21st century, ensuring food security and thus good human health is one of the main conditions for social and economic development. The proposed considerations serve to signal problems in the area of health behaviours with particular emphasis on the impact of nutrition on the well-being and state of health of people, on the basis of own research conducted in March and April 2020 on a sample of 428 respondents – Polish citizens aged 15 and over. The analysis established that with the age of the respondents the percentage of overweight people increases and with good health condition decreases.
