The amendment of 30 August 2019 significantly expanded the scope of bankruptcy capacity and consequently made it easier to declare bankruptcy and receive debt relief. The consequences of such a legislative procedure are a significant increase in the number of bankruptcy cases, weakening of the position of creditors towards debtors, and a change in the model of bankruptcy adopted in Poland, from a moderate to a liberal one.
