There are different trends in EU Member States, i.e. the cultivation of GMOs is limited to one product and occurs only in two countries. There is increasing opposition to transgenic organisms in the EU, and surveys of EU citizens’ opinion indicate their concerns and lack of approval for GM food. The number of countries applying protective clause preventing the use of GMOs authorised for trading in the single market has increased. However, the import of genetically modified feed from countries planting GM crops is growing. In the EU, existing legal principles are recognised as restrictive and restricting transgenic crops.}, title={Organizmy transgeniczne w Unii Europejskiej}, doi={https://doi.org/10.19195/1733-5779.32.4}, keywords={genetically modified organisms, transgenic food, unique identifiers for genetically modified organisms, geographical scope of GMO approval}, }
