 abstract={Aim: The aim of the study was to check which values a modern family appreciate and how it tries to display them in its educational activities. Methods: In order to investigate the posed problems, the diagnostic survey method was used using a questionnaire consisting of 24 questions. Results: The result of the research was obtaining information on the parents’ understanding of the values concept, types of values considered as important, values displayed especially in upbringing, and ways of introducing children to the world of their preferred values. Conclusions: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that modern parents consider the most important universal values, which are most often preferred in the process of education. These values are especially appreciated by parents because they play a significant role in the proper development of the child.},
