The adopted research thesis assumes that the process of retributing the indicated crimes was selective and dictated by the interests of the countries that defeated the Japanese Empire as a result of World War II, with particular emphasis on the importance of the USA in this respect. This thesis is confirmed by the presentation of selected crimes committed by the Japanese armed forces, including the massacres of the people of Nanking and Manila and the criminal activities of the Japanese Unit 731. By presenting the consequences of judicial activity - with the jurisdiction of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East at the forefront - against the perpetrators of Japanese war crimes, the author of the publication argues that many Japanese criminals not only escaped responsibility for their actions, but successfully continued their careers in Japan after the end of World War II. In the conclusions at the end of the publication, the author draws attention to the groundlessness of the policy pursued by successive Japanese governments after 1945 of presenting Japan as a victim of World War II and cultivating the memory of Japanese war criminals of that period in this country.}, type={text}, title={Ideologia, zbrodnie, konsekwencje : zarys zagadnienia działalności japońskich sił zbrojnych w latach 30. i 40.
