abstract={The presented article discusses the possibility of use artificial intelligence-based tools to assist in the analysis of voluminous evidence in criminal proceedings in Poland. The article does not refer to tools that would replace the judge or suggest a decision. At first, the discussion focuses on identifying areas where AI tools could provide support to prosecutors and judges. Then examples of tools used successfully in European countries are discussed, which can provide inspiration for Polish solutions. In the next part of the article, there are considerations on the possibility of using evidence obtained with the use of AI tools in the criminal process, in particular in relation to the right to defense and the principle of equality of arms. The article was written taking into account practical experience gained in the position of an assistant judge in the criminal division in Polish courts.},
