abstract={The purpose of this article is to show the cooperation between prosecutors and profilers and its effectiveness. Criminal profiling in Poland at present is not a tool that is widely used by way of pre-trial and evidentiary proceedings. Special attention should be paid to the fact that profiling is mainly used in places where it was born, such as the United States. The analysis of surveys is aimed at presenting the cooperation between prosecutors and psychologists specializing in profiling. In a survey conducted by the article’s authors among prosecutors from Poland, it was found that most of them consider profiling to be an effective investigative method, however, only a small proportion of the prosecutors surveyed declared using the technique in their work. The article’s conclusions point to the need for further research in this area and the need to develop an appropriate training program and increase the cadre of profilers, which would enable the effective application of profiling in prosecutorial practice.},
