 abstract={Recognition of emerging threats and possibly early detection and effective reporting of the risk of a given health threat may determine the effectiveness of the fight against various types of epidemics. The effectiveness of anti-epidemic measures is related to the effectiveness of the health care system and the effectiveness of epidemiological supervision. Effectively conducted epidemiological supervision allows for early detection of epidemics of infectious diseases and early introduction of activities and procedures developed by public administration units. The events of 2020-2021 have painfully reminded the world of how infectious diseases affect the daily functioning and even the physical survival of society, or rather the efficiency in preventing their occurrence and limiting their spread when they occur. The statistics of deaths due to diagnosed COVID-19 cases question the effectiveness and efficiency of the current solutions in preventing, limiting the range and treating infectious diseases.},
