Beck}, language={pol}, abstract={The dynamic growth of new technologies industry in the past few decades establishes quite a challenge for legislators in terms of efficient and appropriate regulation of particular issues. The issue of decompilation is a crucial element for economic turnover. For licensors, uncertain regulations may threaten know-how of their computer programs. The subject of the present considerations is the protection of computer programs under directive 2009/24/EC of 23 April 2009 on legal protection of computer programs and the legal nature of decompilation as a potential threat for licensors. Decompilation will be shown in the technical aspect and in the context of premises legalizing the scope of its legal execution and use of effects. The purpose of this analysis is to indicate that the current legal regulations and technical aspect of decompilation do not pose a serious threat to copyright, and are even conducive to the development of the entire industry.
