The first part of the text is devoted to connection between pandemic and the proces of globalization and de-globalization. Next, this lockdown phenomenon is analysed which is related to return to primacy of national state, both in international relations and as a frame of reference for the people, especially in the context of closing the borders as the real and symbolic fact. Next, the problem of „medical nationalism” as well as xenophobic is taken into account in the confrontation with the idea of international solidarity. After this, changes in the world political power system which are influenced by Covid-19 are presented with the undermined role of United States of America as a leader of global international community. At the end this political context of pandemic is analysed which results from conspiracy theories and anti-vaccination movement.
