 abstract={In the face of recent events, including the full-scale Ukrainian-Russian war, the concepts of hardand soft power and the importance of soft power in the international relations are again becoming interesting issues for both expert circles and the wider public. Cultural diplomacy is one of the keyelements of soft power, but compared to many European countries, Ukraine has rarely used it in the process of building its image abroad. The refore, the main goal of the author was defining the concept of cultural diplomacy of Ukraine and the key tools that is usually uses. The author devoted particular attention to tracing the interdependence between how historical processes, transformation of the state,including social and elite’s changes, could affect Ukraine's cultural diplomacy and main problems thatit still has today. The summary of the thesis was an indication of the specifics and features of cultural diplomacy that distinguish it from the diplomacy of other countries; as well as defining Ukraine's cultural diplomacy system (i.e. all institutions with the Ukrainian Institute in the center).During the preparation of the thesis, the author used various research methods, primarily the method of collecting and observing facts, and the method of interviews. At the same time, the author conducted an analysis of statistical data, popular country brand rankings, documents, reports andwebsites of ministries and institutions.},
