  In the Bhagavad Gita the eleventh song occupies a particular position. Arjuna, a knight standing in his chariot, has already listened to ten lessons imparted to him by his mentor Krishna, the driver of the chariot. Arjuna, having heard Krishna’s words, which allow him to recognise him as an avatar of the Supreme and the immortality in his heart, wants to see Krishna in his divine universal form. In order to make this possible, Krishna gives him the ‘divine eye’. He begins tearing the veil which overrides a higher reality. Polish poetic translation of chapter 11.
