In the text the term ‘the school mission’ has been connected with the term „teacher reflection”. Qualitative content analysis of interview transcripts was used to present teachers’ thinking about their school mission, and the conditions for the achievement of school purpose. The picture of contrasts emerges from teachers’ utterances: despite of high student achievement, spectacular external test scores, there is little harmony among principal and teachers, between teachers and among staff and parents.
