The aim of this study is attempt to gather psychological and pedagogical information on the concept of self-esteem, self-esteem development in human ontogeny, causes the formation of low self-esteem, especially among primary school students and the impact of low self-esteem in the children’s school achievement. The work shows the possibility of using bibliotherapy as a method of reinforcing the shaping healthy (normal) self-esteem of students.
