  The text addresses the problem of utopia in the context of femininity, especially gender equality and inequality. The analyses refer to both feminist literature and various sociological approaches to utopia. Three interpretive perspectives were used. The first relates to the essentialist approach to gender and absolute gender binarism. The essence of the second perspective is postgenderism, which aims to abolish gender categories, both in thought and social practice. The third perspective, on the other hand, refers to the assumptions of liberal ideology along with the idea of (initial) meritocratic equality between men and women. The discussion concludes that utopias – however not socially constructed and imbued with ideology – are necessary; as an idea and an alternative frame of reference for existing reality. Furthermore, of course, this also applies to the problem of (in)equality of women.;
  
  
  
  W tekście podjęto problem utopii w kontekście kobiecości, a przede wszystkim równości i nierówności płciowej. W analizach odwołano się zarówno do literatury feministycznej, jak i różnorodnych socjologicznych podejść do utopii. Wykorzystano trzy perspektywy interpretacyjne. Pierwsza z nich związana jest z esencjalistycznym podejściem do płci i absolutnym binaryzmem płciowym. Istotą drugiej perspektywy jest post-genderyzm, którego celem jest zniesienie kategorii płci, zarówno w myśleniu, jak i w praktyce społecznej. Z kolei trzecia perspektywa odnosi się do założeń ideologii liberalnej wraz z ideą (wyjściowej) merytokratycznej równości kobiet i mężczyzn. W podsumowaniu rozważań stwierdzono, że utopie – jakkolwiek nie społecznie skonstruowane i nasycone ideologią – są potrzebne; jako idea i alternatywny układ odniesienia dla istniejącej rzeczywistości. I oczywiście dotyczy to także problemu (nie)równości kobiet.
