• Abstract:
  
  
  The aim of this text is to analyze a cognition of Polish social insurance court in the cases where the UE regulations on social security systems coordination are applied. The cognition is treated here as a determination of the factual and legal issues that should be examined by the court. In conclusion the author states that the discussed cognition is a subject of substantial limitations which are derived from a characterics of the proceedings aiming at determination of the legislation applicable to the person concerned.;
  
  
  
  Przedmiotem opracowania jest kognicja sądu ubezpieczeń społecznych w postępowaniach z elementem transgranicznym, prowadzonych przy zastosowaniu rozporządzeń unijnych o koordynacji krajowych systemów zabezpieczenia społecznego. Kognicja jest rozumiana jako określenie, jakimi kwestiami natury faktycznej i prawnej powinien zajmować się sąd w celu rozpoznania sprawy. W konkluzji autor stwierdza, że kognicja ta podlega istotnemu ograniczeniu, co wynika z charakteru postępowania mającego na celu ustalenie ustawodawstwa właściwego.
