  In the presented article the assumptions of the reform of the health care of children and adolescents will be presented from the pedagogical perspective, thus referring primarily to the care and educational work in the immediate environment of the needy. This perspective will be preceded by an analysis of the current state of the mental health of children and young people. The starting point for discussing the assumptions of there form will be the reconstruction of the category of mental wellbeing, as an important element of positive psychology, which comprehensively defines mental health, and which is a desirable state in work with children and young people.;
  
  
  
  W zaprezentowanym artykule przedstawione zostały założenia reformy ochrony zdrowia dzieci i młodzieży z perspektywy pedagogicznej, a zatem odwołujące się przede wszystkim do pracy opiekuńczo-wychowawczej w najbliższym środowisku potrzebujących. Perspektywę tę poprzedzono analizą obecnego stanu zdrowia psychicznego dzieci i młodzieży. Elementem wyjściowym do omawiania założeń reformy była rekonstrukcja kategorii dobrostanu psychicznego jako ważnego elementu psychologii pozytywnej, która w sposób kompleksowy definiuje zdrowie psychiczne, będące stanem pożądanym w pracy z dziećmi i młodzieżą.
