This article was presented attempt to analyze the financial efficiency of higher education in the countries of the European Union using non-parametric DEA method. To this end, the selected quantitative traits that may describe the efficiency adequate models constructed input /output. The study included two academic years and 27 countries of the European Union. Based on the results it was created ranking of Member States in terms of financial efficiency universities. This is the first comprehensive analysis of the financial efficiency in the field of higher education.
