• Abstract:
  
  
  Parents of children with ASD experience chronic stress, which often turns into anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as somatic dysfunctions. Due to the permanent burden, it is necessary to apply therapy leading to the reduction of disturbing symptoms and the development of effective coping strategies. Few publications yet provide data on the effectiveness of cognitive behavioural therapy applied to parents and caregivers of children with ASD.;
  
  
  
  Rodzice dzieci z zaburzeniami ze spektrum autyzmu (Autism SpectrumDisorders, ASD – ang.) doświadczają przewlekłego stresu, który często przeradza się w zaburzenia lękowe i depresyjne, a także dysfunkcje somatyczne. Ze względu na permanentne obciążenie konieczne jest zastosowanie terapii, prowadzącej do zmniejszenia niepokojących objawów, i rozwijanie skutecznych strategii radzenia sobie. Nieliczne jeszcze publikacje dostarczają danych o skuteczności terapii poznawczo-behawioralnej zastosowanej wobec rodziców i opiekunów dzieci z ASD.
