 abstract={The purpose of the article is to present the genealogy and basic concepts of progressive theology, also referred to as progressive Christianity, and the activity of ProgressiveChristianity.org. In the first part, the article presents the sources and premises of progressive theology as inclusive theology, the history of the main organization representing this theological movement (ProgressiveChristianity.org) and characteristic themes developed by three progressive theologians (John Cobb, John Shelby Spong, and Marcus Borg). The second part concentrates on the theological manifesto known as The 8 Points of Progressive Christianity, and on how theoretical foundations are applied in practice.},
