 abstract={The article discusses the concepts of master in science, authority in science and the relationship between master and student. These findings help to present Professor Danuta Koźmian as a master. In this context the author presented an outline of a biography of the eminent educational historian of University in Szczecin Danuta Koźmian and her scientific achievements in the field of theory and practice of education in Poland in the interwar period and in the second half of the twentieth century as well as included considerations showing Professor Danuta Koźmina as a master for herstudents.},
