Within its framework there were implemented many projects concerning cross- border, transnational and interregional cooperation. This article analyzes problems with defining the objectives of selected projects, methods of argumentation used by the beneficiaries of projects and justification of the purposefulness of their implementation. The analysis was based on 6 randomly selected projects carried out by various agencies of the partner countries (Poland–Germany–Czech Republic). The article shows that authors of requests for project funding often use clichéd argumentation, they do not try for a variety of original themes and prepare applications to match the expectations of evaluating committees. On the other hand, the very selection of topics and the quality of their justifications result from the fact that the areas, in which projects are implemented under the European Territorial Cooperation, are peripheral.}, title={Defining the targets, methods of argumentation and justification of expected effects in projects carried out in years 2007–2013 within the Objective European Territorial Cooperation (Poland–Germany–Czech Republic)}, keywords={transnational cooperation, interregional cooperation, European Territorial Cooperation, European projects, targets of the project, results of the project, justification of the project, cross-border cooperation}, }
